The Why

A Shift Manager at Chick-fil-A is the steady hand on the wheel. You run the shift, develop people, protect the guest experience, and make sure food is fast, safe, and excellent. When you're on duty, the team knows who's leading and they trust you because you've earned their respect.

What You'll Do

• Lead and manage daily shifts with confidence and clarity
• Ensure exceptional guest service and brand-level hospitality
• Oversee Front of House and Back of House operations
• Coach, motivate, and develop team members in real time
• Hold the standard on food safety, food quality, and speed
• Manage labor, breaks, and shift flow
• Handle guest concerns and resolve issues professionally (using the H.E.A.R.D model)
• Communicate clearly with leadership and cross-functional teams
• Open and / or close the restaurant following procedures
• Lead by example always

Shift Managers don't just run operations they shape culture. You set expectations, build trust, and make sure every guest and team member leaves better than they arrived. This role functions as an anchor for the team during the chaos of the workday. Shift Managers must be able to 'roll with the punches' and keep their head high to lead the team. They understand that their verbal, emotional, and character output defines the entire 'feel' of the shift.
