Waabi is backed by best-in-class investors across the technology, logistics and the Canadian innovation ecosystem. / ppWith offices in Toronto, San Francisco, Dallas, and Pittsburgh, Waabi is growing quickly and looking for diverse, innovative and collaborative candidates who want to impact the world in a positive way. / ppYou will... / pulliWork directly with engineering teams as the main point of contact for product security. / liliConduct formal TARA (ISO / SAE 21434) to define security requirements for vehicle ECUs and autonomous stacks. / liliDevelop data integrity standards for CAN and Automotive Ethernet to block injection and spoofing attacks. / liliPerform threat modeling for new infrastructure to identify vulnerabilities in fleet management and diagnostic tools. / liliSpecify automated security testing requirements, including protocol fuzzing, for the software build pipeline. / liliTranslate high-level security goals into actionable engineering specifications alongside senior architects. / liliDesign Hardware Security Module (HSM) integrations to establish a hardware-rooted Chain of Trust. / liliArchitect secure boot and OTA update mechanisms using cryptographic signing to prevent unauthorized code execution. / liliDesign secure truck-to-cloud interfaces utilizing end-to-end encryption and robust mutual authentication. / li / ulpQualifications : / pulliMinimum of 3 years in cybersecurity, specifically focusing on product security for embedded systems, robotics, or automotive platforms. / liliProven ability to conduct structured TARA or threat models, particularly using ISO 21434 / liliTechnical proficiency in CAN bus (J1939) and Automotive Ethernet / liliWorking knowledge of automotive security and safety standards, such as UNECE R155 and ISO 26262 / liliProficiency in Python or Go for developing security automation and design validation tools. / liliFamiliarity with securing IoT cloud architectures and managing secure data pipelines between edge devices and backends. / li / ulpBonus : / pulliHands-on experience with PKI, digital signatures, and encryption as applied to Secure Boot, OTA, and hardware-based Roots of Trust / liliProficiency in C / C++ and / or Rust for auditing embedded firmware / li / ulpThe US yearly salary range for this role is : $118,500 - $170,500 USD and the Canada salary range for this role is : $118,500 - $145,000 CAD in addition to competitive perks benefits. Waabi US Inc. and Waabi Canada Inc.s yearly salary ranges are determined based on several factors in accordance with the Companys compensation practices. The salary base range is reflective of the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US and Canada locations.
