About the Position

LocumJobsOnline is working with Lancesoft Inc to find a qualified General Surgery MD in Hot Springs National Park, Arkansas, 71913!

We’re seeking 1 General Surgeon for exclusive Christmas coverage . Please only submit candidates who are fully available to cover the required dates.

Coverage Dates :

December 24th (7a) – January 2nd (7a)

24-hour shifts (7a–7a)

Ongoing coverage not anticipated (new surgeon starting after New Year)

Compensation Structure (Rate Caps) :

On Call (Daily) : $2000 (includes 4 gratis hours)

24-Hour Holiday Call : $3,000 (includes 4 gratis hours)

Callback (Weekday) : $250 / hour (after gratis hours)

Holiday Callback : $350 / hour (after gratis hours)

Orientation : $140 / hour (after 8 hours)

Schedule / Setting :

Location : Arkansas (hospital-based rounding & call)

Support Staff : 3 APPs

Average Patients per Day : 40

Average Calls per Night : 10–20 (peds traumas shipped to children’s hospital)

EMR : Epic

Duties & Procedures :

General Surgery : Gallbladder, Hernia, Colorectal, Surgical Oncology, Endocrine

Endoscopy (upper & lower) – Required

Laparoscopy – Required

Vascular repairs for trauma – Required (Level II Trauma, ~30% penetrating cases)

Additional Details :

Annual ER admissions : 40K+

Must be Board Certified or truly Board Eligible

ACLS & BLS required

Clean malpractice preferred

Does not require Arkansas license at submission (must apply if offer extended)

Credentialing timeframe : ~2 weeks

Deal Breaker : Must be available for the entire coverage period.
