Position Overview

As a Relay Technician , you will play a critical role in the maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting of protective relays used in power distribution and transmission networks. Your expertise will help prevent system failures, enhance grid reliability, and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities :

Relay Testing & Maintenance :

• Perform acceptance testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of protective relays in substations and industrial power systems.
• Conduct functional tests, calibration, and coordination studies to optimize relay settings and system protection.
• Analyze and interpret relay event records and fault waveforms to diagnose system issues.

Protective Relay Systems & Equipment :

Troubleshooting & System Analysis :

Documentation & Compliance :

Qualifications & Skills :

Experience : Hands-on experience with protective relays in transmission or distribution systems.

Technical Knowledge : Strong understanding of relay theory, system protection principles, and electrical circuitry.

Testing Expertise : Proficiency with relay test sets (e.g., Doble, Omicron, Megger) and diagnostic tools.

Problem-Solving : Ability to analyze relay operations and power system events.

Certifications (Preferred) : NETA Level II, III, or IV, or relevant relay protection training.

Travel : Ability to travel up to 25% for fieldwork .
