Job Description

Wage - $20-25.00 per hour, DOE

Schedule - Part Time, 7 : 30 a.m. to 11 : 30 a.m., 5 days a week

What you will be doing : You'll be responsible for providing career technical training instruction to students in accordance with approved curricula. Provide students with basic direction, in compliance with government and management directives.

Essential functions :

  • Provide students with direction, instruction, and assistance in designated areas of instruction.
  • Motivate and counsel students in areas of behavior, training, personal problems, or study habits.
  • Review and audit all assigned areas regularly for contractual compliance and the effectiveness of service delivery to students. Prepare related reports.

  • In coordination with work-based learning (WBL) staff, develop center, community, and at-home work-based training sites at the center; monitor and document student progress at work-based training sites monthly.
  • Monitor labor market information; develop career transition and job placement plans; and assist with graduate placement in conjunction with the career transition readiness specialist.

    • Education and Experience Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree and teaching certificate with a Computer Science endorsement or five (5) years of experience working in a computer or data science field.
  • Experience with youth, and excellent written and verbal communication skills are also required.
  • A valid driver license with an acceptable driving record.
