Job Summary
Serve as a Clinical Coordinator for the College of Graduate Nursing. As Clinical Coordinator, this individual is responsible for coordinating the clinical education of CGN students, primarily those enrolled in the nurse practitioner programs. The Clinical Coordinator will participate in college activities and committees related to their job functions. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Individuals must possess these knowledge, skills, and abilities or be able to explain and demonstrate that the individual can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.
1. Proficient in software applications including but not limited to MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams as well as video communications (i.e. Zoom) and internet and database applications. Knowledgeable of learning management systems (i.e. Canvas).
2. Able to learn new software, processes, and procedures quickly.
3. Able to maintain confidentiality regarding job assignments and sensitive issues.
4. Able to work with individuals from different professions and levels of training and education both within and outside of the university.

Required Qualifications 1. EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities for the position.
2. EXPERIENCE: Four years of relevant work experience in an academic or business support setting. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree.
Two years experience in clinical placement coordination and/or experience in nursing programs. List comments regarding work hours Generally Monday – Friday 8 AM – 5 PM with flexibility to work with clinical sites and students as needed to support clinical placement. Some weekend work (3-4 times per year) to support student training seminars.

- Coordinate clinical placement for students in nurse practitioner programs.
- Participate in all NP Programs’ clinical meetings and other program meetings as appropriate.
- Work with Program Directors and Clinical Advisors to help support the GN 7570 – Clinical Experiences course.
Percentage Of Time 40 Job Duty 2. Clinical Partnership Ambassador
- Act as an ambassador for the College, promoting the enhancement of current clinical partnerships.
- Facilitate the continued expansion of clinical sites for prospective students.
- Oversee the appropriateness of all clinical training sites for students.
Percentage Of Time 40 Job Duty 3. College Support
- Coordinate with College Clinical Operations team to maximize clinical placement efforts.
- Participate in all CGN-wide and other CGN program events requiring “all-hands” staff support.
- Participate in CGN-wide meetings such as monthly CGN Collaborative.
- Provide representation on appropriate CGN committees such as the Clinical Operations Committee.
- Complete other duties as assigned by the supervisor and Dean in support of the college and university.
