Compile detailed proposals for clients that include analysis, timelines, costs, and the necessary documentation. Present proposals in a clear and concise manner, ensuring all technical and financial details are easy to understand. Provide support to project managers by offering insights on cost-related issues. Monitor changes in scope or schedule that may affect the cost and adjust estimates accordingly. Negotiate with vendors and suppliers to get high-quality products at cost-effective prices. Maintain good relationships with clients, understanding their needs and expectations to ensure client satisfaction. Keep detailed records of past project estimates and actual costs for future reference. Use historical data to refine estimating processes and techniques. Ensure all estimations comply with current laws, regulations, and standards applicable in the electrical industry. Stay updated with the latest energy codes and standards. Experience with electrical systems and their installation, maintenance, and repair. Advanced knowledge of estimating software and databases. Strong attention to detail with excellent mathematical and analytical skills. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions, correspondence, and memos. Proven ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines. A degree in electrical engineering, construction management, or a related field is typically required. Certifications in cost estimation or project management may be advantageous. Must have experience in electrical estimation or a related field is highly beneficial. Must have a valid Driver license for minimum of 3 years. 30 % Travel required to visit sites.
