[job_card.job_description]Assists in performing surgical procedures such as suturing skin, placing monitoring catheters and pacing wires, and other related duties as directed by surgeon Ensures patient is prepared for surgery by conducting compete physical examinations and patient histories, ordering necessary support hose, and having angiogram films in the operating room Makes rounds on patients which involves reviewing nurse's notes, laboratory data and the like in order to evaluate patient's current condition Follows prescribed guidelines for removing pacing wires and staples after surgery Notifies surgeon of abnormal patient conditions and performs various related duties within the office Commencement Bonus Relocation Allowance CME Comprehensive benefits package Health, dental, life insurance, disability PTO On-site fitness center
Job Description
Seeking a full-time Cardiothoracic Nurse Practitioner in north-central IA, for Medical Center named one of the nation's 100 Top Hospitals and Top 100 Cardiovascular Hospitals.
Highlights :
- Current staffing is 1 Physician, 3 PAs, and 1 Nurse
- Mix of Inpt / Outpt, clinic and surgery
- Call 1 : 3 - Call is currently for emergency surgeries only (approx. 10 per year)
- Required : 1-2 Years of experience in CT surgery assist with >
50 endoscopic vein harvests using the maquet system
