Teaching Assistant, Podiatry

Summary

Under the supervision of Dr. Shanika Hill, student teaching assistants will assist Clinical Sciences faculty of the School of Podiatric Medicine in labs for the Podiatric Medicine II Lab. TAs should be 4th year Podiatry students, who have demonstrated high academic performance (at least a 3.0GPA in the relevant clinical course) in their completed course work.

Essential Functions

• Assist students in the demonstration of specific clinical skills.
  
• Assist student groups during lab with any questions about assignment inside the lab and during TA office hours.
  
• Assist professor in grading of clinical assignments.
  
• Proctor lab exams.
  
• Assist faculty in the preparation of lab material.
  
• Supervise overall cleanliness of lab.
  

Qualifications/Requirements

• Must be enrolled in Barry University's School of Podiatric Medicine as a fourth-year student, with a minimum GPA of 3.0 in related clinical courses.
