Salary :

The Container Inspector is responsible for examining shipping containers to ensure they meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards before and after cargo loading or unloading. The role involves checking for structural damage, cleanliness, and compliance with international shipping and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect containers for structural integrity, damage, and defects (e.g., dents, corrosion, holes, leaks).
• Preparing repair estimates
• Record and report inspection findings accurately in the company system or inspection reports.
• Tag and classify containers as suitable or unsuitable for use based on inspection results.
• Ensure compliance with environmental and safety policies during inspection and repair operations.
• Coordinate with maintenance teams for container repair or cleaning as needed.
• Inspect containers before loading / unloading to verify cargo compatibility and safety.
• Photograph and document container conditions for recordkeeping and insurance purposes.
• Communicate with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and management to support container turnaround.
• Maintain inspection tools and safety equipment in proper working condition.
• Ability to train the repair crew on the inspection and repair estimate process.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

IICL Certification ( Preferred)
