Registered Nurse

Schedule: 7:00am-3:30pm; PRN

GENERAL SUMMARY:

• Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care.
• Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family.
• Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team.
• Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.

Contingent Option 1: Unit-based contingent that reports directly to the Unit Manager/Unit Director. Meets all accountabilities of a Registered Nurse.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• Graduation from an accredited school of Nursing.
• Previous 1-2 years recent related clinical nursing experience and a demonstrated level of performance and practice required.
• Previous OR experience preferred.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:

• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Current ACLS or obtain within six (6) months of hire date or job transfer date.
