What Will You Be Doing

• Performing thorough patient assessments, ordering diagnostic tests, and developing individualized care plans
• Diagnosing and treating acute, episodic, or chronic conditions in collaboration with physicians, or independently as allowed by your credentials
• Educating patients and their families on preventative measures, wellness, and management of diseases
• Prescribing medications and therapies within your scope of practice
• Contributing to patient follow-up and management of chronic conditions
• Working alongside interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive, holistic patient care
• Accurately documenting all interactions within electronic medical records (EMR)

Education Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Certifications Needed

• Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in Tennessee
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or relevant specialty certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the ability to obtain within 90 days)
