Pricing Operations Role at Cardinal Health

Pricing Operations contributes significantly to Cardinal Health by operationalizing customer, manufacturer, and group purchasing contracts. The Implementation Team within Medical Pricing Services is responsible for customer contract administration, as well as administering and reviewing pricing initiatives. This team researches and solves contract and eligibility issues while onboarding new Cardinal Health distribution customers and assists customers with Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) transitions. They act as a liaison with internal and external key stakeholders.

Responsibilities include :

  • Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to align pricing with customers, onboarding, GPO transfers or disengages from Cardinal
  • Managing customer relationships throughout the pricing and contract implementation processes
  • Communicating updates and resolutions to stakeholders
  • Managing case plans, resources, and commitments to the customer

Analytical thinking involves :

  • Understanding complex functional situations by paying attention to details and breaking them down into smaller pieces
  • Identifying data requirements and collecting all relevant data needed to analyze complex problems
  • Applying hypotheses and understanding cause and effect when analyzing complex processes
  • Identifying advanced implications / conclusions from the logical analysis of complex situations
  • Customer experience includes :

  • Ensuring clients have a positive experience and meeting or exceeding client expectations
  • Displaying honest empathy regarding customers' concerns and issues
  • Adopting customers' perspectives to understand their expectations
  • Integrating knowledge of Cardinal Health's organizational structure into solutions development
  • Operational excellence involves :

  • Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and manage monetary assets to optimize cost-effectiveness
  • Recognizing unnecessary workflow steps and identifying synergies among processes to improve productivity
  • Maintaining a strong focus on delivering high quality work
  • Qualifications include :

  • Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
  • 2-4 years of experience, preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Customer facing experience highly preferred
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate with leadership, stakeholders, and customers
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Outlook, OneNote, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Customer service, problem solving, relationship building, and analytical skills required
  • Anticipated salary range : $57,000-$73,440
