[job_card.job_description]Work 12-hour night shifts from 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 00 AM Maintain 1 : 5 nurse to patient ratio, occasionally up to 1 : 6 with ratio adjustments for higher acuity patients Level 1 trauma experience required Must have experience at larger facilities with high volume surgeries and high acuity patients Must be comfortable working with lines and chest tubes Care for orthopedic patients, post-op total joints, and general med-surg overflow Titrate heparin drips and potentially start amiodarone drips before patient transfer Float within skillset between all med-surg units as needed Work every other weekend or 2 weekends per month as standard requirement Rotate holidays with regular staff No call or standby requirements Required certification : BLS (charge nurses require ACLS) BSN not required Use EPIC charting system Professional solid-colored scrubs required Complete unit-specific orientation including first day paperwork, system logins, and 2 additional shifts with preceptor Must complete fingerprinting requirement with 10-day remote process or in-person option Referral bonus
