About the Role
My client an AMLAW 200 firm, is seeking a Cybersecurity Incident Response Lawyer to provide fast, practical legal guidance during data breaches and cyberattacks. You’ll work at the frontlines of incident response, helping organizations navigate complex regulations, mitigate risk, and communicate effectively under pressure.
What You’ll Do
Advise on data breaches, ransomware, and other cyber incidents.
Coordinate with technical teams, regulators, and law enforcement.
Guide compliance with GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA, and related laws.
Draft and refine incident response policies, playbooks, and notifications.
Translate technical findings into clear legal advice for business leaders.
What You Bring
JD and active bar membership.
2–4 years’ experience in cybersecurity handling incident response.
Hands-on experience with breach response and incident management.
Strong communication skills and ability to perform under pressure.
Familiarity with cybersecurity tools and risk management practices.
Nice to Have
CISSP, CISM, or CIPP certification.
