Reporting to the Director of Information Technology, the IT Manager of Dental Technology manages and coordinates Information Technology (IT) dental systems, support, and related component activities by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates and supervises such work as conducted by several IT technical support staff. The IT Manager of Dental Technology guides technical work related to the support, maintenance, and execution of dental technology information systems throughout the organization. As a partner with the IT Manager and in conjunction with the IT Manager, responsibilities of this role include planning, assigning, and directing work, training employees, maintaining systems, addressing complaints and resolving problems, tracking and documenting issues, and daily regular reporting of all status.

Major areas of responsibility include :

• In coordination and conjunction with the IT Manager, assigns work, establishes priorities and project schedules.
• With respect to IT dental systems : Directs IT dental projects, assigns tasks, and monitors and reports on progress.
• May supervise departmental staff as needed.
