About the Position

LocumJobsOnline is working with Barton Associates to find a qualified General Surgery PA in New York!

We are seeking a Surgery Physician Assistant with experience in Obstetrics and Gynecology for an 80-day locum tenens assignment in New York. This opportunity begins on Mar 2, 2026, and offers a flexible schedule with day and night 12-hour shifts, as well as optional weekend coverage. Candidates should be board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, have strong transvaginal ultrasound skills, and demonstrate experience in GYN cases.

  • Provider Type Needed : Surgery - General Physician Assistant
  • Schedule : Day shift 8a-8p (12 hrs), Night shift 8p-8a (12 hrs), Weekend 8a-8a (24 hrs; 8- or 12-hr shifts also acceptable)

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Perform clinical duties in Obstetrics and Gynecology under attending supervision
  • Conduct GYN case management and procedures
  • Utilize transvaginal ultrasound skills in patient care
  • Collaborate with attending physicians for backup support
  • Adhere to established protocols and standards of care

  • Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology required
  • New York state license required
  • Weekend call is not mandatory
  • Privileges may be granted within 6 weeks
