Job Description
We are seeking a Gynecological Oncology Nurse Practitioner for a 16-day locum tenens assignment in New York. This opportunity starts Jan 2, 2026, with orientation on the first day and clinical work beginning Jan 5, 2026. The schedule consists of four shifts per week, Monday through Friday, with day shifts from 8 : 00 am to 6 : 00 pm. This role is ideal for an experienced nurse practitioner with competency in administering chemotherapy and biotherapy, as well as expertise in women's health and gynecologic oncology.

Responsibilities and Duties
Perform history and physical exams, including pelvic exams as indicatedOrder and interpret diagnostic tests and therapeutic modalities within specialty scope and documented trainingAdminister and prescribe chemotherapy and biotherapy (must demonstrate recent competency with at least 10 administrations in the past 12 months)Implement therapeutic interventions for women’s health conditions, including gynecologic oncology casesConduct arterial puncture and blood gas samplingProvide care for superficial wounds, perform debridement, and minor surgical proceduresPerform incision and drainage of superficial abscessesInsert and remove non-weighted nasogastric or oro-gastric tubesAssess antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients in both complicated and uncomplicated scenariosConduct colposcopies with or without biopsiesEvaluate and treat common vaginal infectionsInterpret fetal heart monitor tracingsInsert and remove intrauterine devices (IUDs) and subcutaneous birth control devicesInitiate pharmacologic therapy for general gynecologic and obstetric health needsPerform endometrial, vaginal, and vulvar biopsiesScreen and refer for high-risk pregnancies, pregnancy complications, postpartum complications, and suspected cases of sexual abuse or rapeAdditional Information
Must hold an active New York nurse practitioner licenseRequired to have one of the following certifications : Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certification (AGACNP-BC), Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Certification (AGPCNP-BC), Adult Nurse Practitioner Certification (ANP-BC), or Family Nurse Practitioner Certification (FNP)Must have current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certificationsAccreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) credentials required if applicable to background experienceExperience in women's health and gynecologic oncology strongly preferredBenefits
