Job Summary and Qualifications

A registered professional nurse is responsible for delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Also directs and guides patient / family teaching and activities of ancillary personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing. The registered nurse first assistant (RNFA) takes on an intra-operative expanded role as a first assistant, under the direction and supervision of the surgeon.
