Mammography Technologist (No on-call) - San Francisco, CA_Full Time Perm (on-site)

Job Type- Full Time

Shifts: M-F 8am - 5pm, no on-call/weekend requirement

Patient ratio: 21-24 patients/day

Clinical setting: Outpatient

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Maintains a high degree of accuracy in mammography positioning and exposure technique.

• Prepares for and assists the Radiologist in the completion of intricate mammography examinations, including breast biopsies, post biopsy imaging, and patient care.

• Serves as the primary liaison between patients and Radiologists and other members of the support team.

• Demonstrates an understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.

• Recognizes and reports equipment malfunctions. Coordinates service for repairs.

• Understands use of equipment to maximize diagnostic image quality and outcome.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• An associate's degree is required, from an American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:

• Current license issued by the State of California as a Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) and specialty license in Mammography CRT (M) - required.

• Current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT).

• Experience with 3D Mammography/Tomosynthesis preferred.

• Experience with Breast Biopsies and DEXA scans preferred.

• Current documentation of Basic Life Support is required.
