A law firm seeks a Trademark Associate with 4-6 years of experience to join its team in Washington, D.C. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in trademark clearance and prosecution, both domestically and globally, and will be familiar with reviewing creative assets for compliance with advertising laws.

Duties

  • Conduct trademark clearance and prosecution work.
  • Review creative assets for compliance with FTC and other advertising laws.
  • Engage in proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.
  • Litigate trademark infringement and false advertising claims in federal court.

Requirements

  • 4-6 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in trademark clearance and prosecution.
  • Familiarity with advertising law compliance.

    • Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

    • Certifications

  • Bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction.

    • Skills

  • Proficiency in Spanish preferred.
  • Experience in the restaurant, software, life sciences, and / or consumer packaged goods industries is desirable.
  • Retirement savings plan.
