About the Position

LocumJobsOnline is working with Barton Associates to find a qualified Family Practice NP in Pennsylvania!

We are seeking a Family Practice Nurse Practitioner for a 65-day locum tenens assignment at a medium security correctional facility in Pennsylvania. This role begins on Dec 15, 2025, and offers a Monday through Friday schedule with day shifts from 7 : 30am to 4 : 00pm. The assignment focuses on providing preventative, chronic, and acute care to an adult patient population within a secure environment.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Conduct sick call and daily rounding for adult patients
  • Manage chronic and preventative care procedures, including follow-ups
  • Lead and participate in preventative care clinics
  • Perform infirmary rounds for internal medicine cases as needed
  • Provide trauma triage and immediate care for urgent cases
  • Document patient encounters and maintain accurate charting notes
  • Manage medication refills and address medication non-compliance issues
  • Perform morning lines for procedures such as suture removal and follow-up care

  • Active Pennsylvania NP license required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Correctional healthcare experience is a plus
