As a Security Professional - Campus Patrol Driver in Stony Brook, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you'll use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and Pick up open shifts based on your availability-giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment at an educational location. Your responsibilities include conducting regular patrols, staying visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service to everyone on site. This is a driving post, so you will navigate the property to monitor and respond to security-related needs as they arise. What You'll Do :

  • Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond appropriately during emergency situations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the campus buildings and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment for students, faculty, and visitors.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel or local authorities as directed.
  • Interact with individuals on campus in a courteous and helpful manner, answering questions and assisting as needed.
  • Support Allied Universal management and other team members by communicating important information and following established protocols.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • CPR or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
