Our Directors are now called Pedagogistas because they spend 80% of their days mentoring and coaching their teachers to provide the support our teachers need and deserve Our Operations team handles all scheduling, employee files, payroll, billing, subsidy, enrollment, etc.. to take all the computer work out of schools allowing the focus to be on students and families! Coordinate and implement educational curriculum by modifying classroom activities based on developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards. Implement individual and group activities to actively engage children and encourage social, cognitive and emotional growth. Ensure all center policies and state regulations are met. Ensure a healthy classroom environment – including maintaining appropriate hygiene and cleanliness standards and safety and security of children. 2 years preferred professional child care experience Strong written and oral communication skills Basic technology skills or ability to learn easily High energy with the ability to take frequent walks, use hands and fingers, handle objects, tools or controls, kneel, bend, squat, and crawl Talk to and hear voices at many levels See up close and up to a certain distance, see colors, have peripheral vision and depth perception Ability to work well with others (teachers, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment A basic understanding of child development or eagerness to learn Infant / Child CPR and First Aid certification upon hire Must clear a full background check High School Diploma / GED or significant college credit in early childhood education or related field of study. An interest / background in nature-based education. An interest / background of basic gardening and outdoor activities. Background / experience with Montessori and Waldorf educational models.
