Mill Manager Opportunity In Calvert, AL
ATSS has a client in Calvert, AL looking for a Mill Manager. The ideal candidate will provide direction and management for a mills maintenance and operations departments, including reviewing and evaluating quality, downtime, and performance to effectively support business objectives.
The Basics :
- B.S. in Engineering or related field, or equivalent working experience
- At least 10 years of experience in a management position of a steel, aluminum, or paper mill (Team Manager or higher)
- In-depth knowledge and experience with the stages of transitioning a steel slab to a coil; reduction, prep, and coating processes
- Basic understanding of heat, mass transfer, and material plasticity
- Experience managing a maintenance team and / or working in a maintenance role
- Experience applying lean manufacturing methodologies to troubleshoot and solve problems (RCFA, Six Sigma, etc.)
- Excellent communication skills with demonstrated ability to effectively work cross-functionally with various groups
- Ability to develop and deliver technical presentations at senior management level
- Proficiency in MS Office products
