Network Engineer

Location : Richmond, VA (Hybrid – Onsite 3 days / week : Monday, Wednesday, Friday)

Hours : 8 : 00 AM – 5 : 00 PM EST (Occasional evening implementations after 7 PM; shift adjusted accordingly)

  • Candidate must live within a commutable distance to Richmond, VA
  • No Visa candidates or Third Parties
  • Background checks required : Criminal History, Drug Test ,etc.

Role Overview

We are seeking a Network Engineer (CCNA level) to support hybrid operations in Richmond, VA. This role involves hands-on network engineering tasks, planning, and coordination with onsite technicians. The ideal candidate will have strong routing / switching skills and Cisco SD-WAN experience, with the ability to guide others through equipment installations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create weekly Change Requests
  • Perform consulting and planning for network solutions
  • Configure switch ports and Cisco routers
  • Perform migrations (MPLS to DMVPN / SG)
  • Upgrade Cisco Router IOS and Cisco Switch IOS
  • Configure Cisco switches and routers
  • Perform onsite inventory management duties weekly
  • Install VCE phones and ATA devices
  • Perform Aruba IAP code upgrades
  • Configure SD-WAN solutions
  • Perform IOS upgrades across devices
  • Conduct site surveys and bandwidth upgrades
  • Design network solutions
  • Additional tasks : WAP installs, circuit upgrades

    • Top Must-Haves

  • CCNA-level expertise
  • Strong experience with Routing & Switching and Cisco SD-WAN
  • Knowledge of VLANs, IP addressing, and basic routing
  • Ability to walk onsite techs through equipment installation remotely
  • Aruba wireless experience is a plus

    • Additional Details

  • No flexibility on location – candidate will be involved in shipping & receiving of equipment at the Richmond warehouse
  • Occasional evening work for implementations (not frequent)
