EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE
PERFORMANCE ABILITY
Strong knowledge of traffic and shipping area to make decisions on shipping and freight to keep costs low while ensuring orders are shipped to customers timely and according to customer specifications. Collaborates with other departments and vendors to resolve errors and customer complaints. Analyzes shipping and freight system process flow and recommends process improvements and expense reduction. Demonstrated ability to consistently meet quality, safety and efficiency goals. Excellent problem solving skills. Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to effectively relate to team members from various backgrounds. Ability to communicate effectively with others; excellent attention to detail skills; and demonstrated high quality of work. Strong time management skills; ability to prioritize and calmly handle multiple tasks simultaneously to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment; demonstrate a strong sense of urgency; and flexibility to change tasks frequently as business needs require. Leads by example and acts as a role model on the floor and models NOW’s core values and tenets. Consistently follows all company policies and procedures, including all safety policies and procedures. Safely operates all Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) and equipment. Demonstrated ability through certification to work as a Material Handler I or Material Handler II in Roselle and Bloomingdale 391 and 395 warehouses. When assigned to work at the Bloomingdale manufacturing facilities, ability to work at both 391 AND 395 locations.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees in regards to operational procedures. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences. Team player in working with cross-functioning teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives with both internal and external customers.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute percentages.

When working at either Bloomingdale manufacturing facility, the employee is frequently exposed to herbal aromas, dust, and / or airborne particles, some classified as allergens or irritants.
This position works in all areas of NOW’s manufacturing facilities with direct exposure to ingredients (powders and liquids), mixes (powders and liquids), equipment, and packaging.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately loud, and in some areas where louder hearing protection is required.
