Program Manager Development Support Office
Astrion / MEIS is seeking a Program Manager to join our Civilian Space division. MEIS (an Astrion subsidiary) supports NASA Ames Research Center Development Support Office (DSO). The Development Support Office (DSO) manages the processes involved with the tenant submission of all plans, design, construction, and related documents for engineering & environmental review, approval, permitting, and inspections activities specific to development projects within the NASA Ames Research Park.
The DSO program manager is responsible for implementing the DSO Program functions efficiently, and economically.
Required qualifications / skills :
- 10-15 years working experience as a Program Manager, Technical Reviewer or Construction Manager
- Five (5) years of experience as a project manager, with experience in contract administration, proposal and fee development, and scheduling activities
- Fifteen (15) years of experience with planning, facilities design, technical review, and construction
- Bachelors or Master's degree in a design architecture, engineering, or related field
- Must have a CA Professional Engineer License (PE) or CA Registered Architect License (RA)
- Familiarity with federal, state, local codes and regulations
- Strong problem solving and communication skills
- Onsite 5 days per week
- Ideal candidate will have prior experience with NASA and / or Federal planning, permitting, review, and construction
Responsibilities :
Overall program management of the Development Support Office including the projects, schedules, funding and staffAttend regular, tenant, project technical and ad hoc Stakeholder meetingsPlanning and permitting liaison for the NASA Research Park tenantsProvide program and project status presentations to Stakeholders as requestedProvide oversight and coordination of NASA and NASA Ames processesGuide the development of updates to current DSO process requirementsDevelop consistent deliverable terminology and submittal requirementsPreliminary Planning and Design Review and Engineering Review support for NRP lease projectsResponsible for the assignment, management, coordination, and completion of the design documents and planning package reviewsAssign the Technical Review Team duties and responsibilities and review administration staff as required to meet the need of the project / programCo-ordination of studies including Infrastructure, NEPA / NHPA / Environmental Transportation Systems, Road Design Analysis, other specialty engineering, and technical staff and tasksProvide technical review of permit packages and ensure submittal meet the required deliverables timeline.Coordination, analysis and validation against the NASA Ames Development Plan and NASA Ames Research Center Master PlanYou may not check every box or your experience may look a little different from what is outlined, but if you think you can bring Program Management value we encourage you to apply.
