Description

• Conduct evaluations for patients in either inpatient or outpatient environments and develop tailored treatment programs
• Implement physical therapy interventions geared towards enhancing mobility, strength, balance, and overall function
• Collaboratively work with physicians, nurses, case managers, and other rehabilitation professionals to guarantee optimal patient outcomes
• Educate patients and their families on therapeutic goals, discharge preparations, and home exercise regimens
• Document evaluations, treatments, and patient progress in compliance with facility standards and regulatory requirements
• Engage in care team meetings and interdisciplinary conferences to ensure cohesive patient care

Education

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or a comparable advanced degree from an accredited institution

Certifications

• Active state licensure as a Physical Therapist
• CPR certification is preferred
• Additional specialized certifications (such as in geriatrics or neurology) are welcomed but not mandatory
