Job Summary :

The Mail Clerk is responsible for sorting, staging, delivering, and collecting letters and packages across campus. This role requires the use of scanning devices, carts, maps, and basic computer applications to ensure timely and accurate package delivery and mail processing. The position involves significant walking, lifting, and interaction with campus departments. Candidates must be flexible, teamwork-oriented, able to follow instructions, and capable of working independently once trained.

Key Responsibilities :

• Sort and stage letters and packages on the dock.
• Check in packages using a scanning device and designated app.
• Move packages using small carts and flatbed carts.
• Deliver packages to mailstops across campus using provided maps.
• Pick up outgoing packages from mailstops and stage items for outgoing teams.
• Look up tracking numbers using a provided computer system.
• Respond to customer emails regarding delivery status.
• Process letter mail using USPS postage machine.
• Sort letter mail and prepare / label outgoing FedEx packages.
• Move packages intercampus as requested.
• Perform additional duties as needed.
