Civil Engineer

Hill International is seeking a Civil / Structural Engineer in Pomona, California

• Perform assignments in specialized and unique areas requiring advanced engineering insight and broad experience.
• Direct or perform engineering tasks associated with a critical engineering project or several small projects with complex features.
• Manage the evaluation, development, and implementation of capital projects that have moderate financial and operational impact.
• May serve as an expert for the organization in a specific area or responsibility.
• Participate on project teams and may lead some teams.
• Provide training and direction to other engineers.
• Direct involvement in tasks necessary for project execution.
• Identify problems and solutions, and collaborate to establish project objectives, timelines, risks, milestones, deliverables, and budgets.
• Lead civil and structural engineering analysis, calculations, design, detailing, and CAD-supported drafting for SCE facilities.
• Perform site visits to provide construction support and/or conduct inspections, while gathering data, performing engineering analysis, and preparing calculations, construction drawings, and specifications.
• Oversee design contractors to ensure quality and adherence to construction schedules, budgets, and project requirements, while providing support to field personnel, stakeholders, and customers.
• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or structural engineering is required.
• Minimum 5 or more years of structural engineering experience is required.
• Electrical Utilities experience required.
• Skilled in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and Teams required.
• Project Management certification preferred.
• Professional Engineering License required.
• Experience with regulations, guides, standards, codes, methods, practices, and advanced engineering principles.
• Ability to communicate effectively and with impact, maintain positive working relationships, and exercise tact and diplomacy in dealing with multiple parties.
• Ability to juggle multiple projects and tasks.
• Must be local to Southern California.
• Hybrid work schedule with periodic site visits.

The salary range for this position is $100,000 - $135,000. The offered salary will be based on the applicants qualifications, education, experience and work location.
