Hours 7 : 30am-4pm Monday-Friday

Experience : 5 years

Education Level : High School with Technical School

Salary Range : $22-$32 / hr based on skills and experience

  • Programming education / certification required

Essential Job Functions :

  • Operate CNC lathes and milling machines including program setup and running operations. (Mazak, DMG / Mori)
  • Program complex parts for CNC multi-axis lathes & mills (Use of G-code and / or conversational programming on Mazak lathes & mills)
  • Develop machine set-ups and program edits, ensuring programs are organized and preserved
  • Understand geometric dimensioning & tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Read and interpret 2-D shop prints
  • Select proper tooling for production and manufacturing
  • Work with tolerances to + / - .001
  • Maintain highest levels of quality as specified by customer requirements
  • Inspect parts using a variety of equipment : micrometers, calipers, optical comparators, other as needed
  • Demonstrate forward thinking to anticipate and avoid problems, and effectively trouble-shoot and resolve any problems that do arise
  • Work with minimal supervision, but also engage productively within a team environment
  • Update job paperwork, keeping it accurate and organized
  • Use electronic Job Tracking system to ensure job status remains accurate and up-to-date
  • Perform prescribed preventive maintenance on machines as required per M / M schedules
  • Other duties may be assigned as necessary and appropriate

    • Required Skills :

  • Extensive knowledge of machining and strong machining skills
  • 5 years experience turning and set-up on CNC Lathes / Mills
  • Medium to high level of experience with tools and inserts
  • Experience in inspection of machined parts
  • Trigonometry & Blueprint literacy

    • Required Materials :

  • Steel toe safety footwear - company allowance
  • Standard safety glasses w / side shields company provides
  • Prescription safety glasses must be approved by OSHA standard and have side shields
