About the Role

We are looking to expand our trading and risk team here at Penn Interactive and as a constantly growing and evolving sportsbook, we are always on the lookout for the best talent to join us on our mission of becoming one of the biggest operators in the world. As a Sports Trader in the International Sports Team you will be in charge of managing our sportsbook risk, pricing, performance and content in established global sports such as Soccer, Tennis, Motorsport, Boxing and Golf, as well as more niche, novel and growth opportunity areas such as E-Sports, TV and Politics. This role requires a highly professional, organized, and enthusiastic individual who is data driven, has a strong interest in global sports and sports betting and is willing to push the boundaries to continuously improve our product. About the Work

• Compiling and managing pre-match and live betting markets
• Ideation and creation of specials/odds boosts and promotional markets
• Reacting appropriately to events, injury/news, and market movement
• Understanding the value of the new information and implications on the odds combined with existing risk and exposure
• Effectively using strategy to execute liability and margin-aware trading decisions
• Contributing to new market ideas and product innovation
• Developing a strong understanding of internal tooling and apps and external tools/consoles
• Taking initiative in proposing improvements to internal tooling and applications
• Developing an understanding of patron value and betting patterns/behavior
• Using analytics tools to self-serve required data and perform basic analysis/decision-making
• Developing an understanding of all internal SOPs and escalation paths
• Begin partnering and collaborating with other departments (e.g. marketing, compliance, product)
• Other duties as assigned

About You

• Proven experience in assessing and calculating risk
• Post-secondary degree in a relevant field, such as mathematics, business or other fields with analytical discipline, would be an advantage.
• Flexibility is a must as working hours will be dictated by business needs. Must be able to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
• Strong sports betting and/or trading experience is desired.
• Data obsessed, not just data driven, with exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent mathematical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions quickly.
• Exceptional time management skills.
• Strong global sports betting knowledge and a keen interest in betting and odds is considered an asset.
• Experience with SQL, Python, Excel VBA is considered an asset.

Salary Range $60,000 - $80,000 USD
