Accountabilities
Supervisory / Management Responsibility
This is a non-management role reporting to a supervisor or manager.
Minimum Requirements
Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program or eligible for licensure in South Carolina. Current licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in South Carolina or must be a senior student graduating in the next three months.
Required Certifications / Registrations / Licenses
Must possess a valid Respiratory Care Practitioner license or be eligible for licensure in South Carolina, along with BLS certification. National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) credentials must be maintained. Employees hired prior to June 2016 may hold a Certified Respiratory Therapist credential. New hires from June 2016 onwards must pass the Registered Therapist cut score and the Clinical Simulation Exam within six months of graduation, with potential termination for non-completion.
Additional certifications such as NRP and PALS are required for roles in the Children's Hospital before independent work in NICU and PICU.

Team-oriented approach with strong communication, computer, and organizational skills.
