Mainframe Developer

Akkodis is seeking a Mainframe Developer for a Contract with a client in Indianapolis, IN / Plano, TX / Boston, MA / Portsmouth, NH / Seattle, WA. The ideal candidate will design, code, and maintain mainframe applications while ensuring quality through testing and issue resolution.

Rate Range : $37 / hour to $44 / hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Mainframe Developer job responsibilities include :

• Design, code, test, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, IMS DB, DB2, JCL, and MQ Series.
• Collaborate with QA teams to ensure thorough testing and quality assurance of applications.
• Perform peer reviews of code and technical documentation to maintain coding standards and best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system performance issues, coordinating with support teams for hardware and software fixes.
• Assist in research and issue resolution for business data processing and participate in on-call rotation for application failures.
• Monitor system performance and proactively address issues to ensure reliability and scalability.

Pay Details : $37.00 to $44.00 per hour
