The Clinical Research Administrator I provides excellent customer service to all partners, while performing research administration activities. This includes, but is not limited to, reviewing coverage analysis, developing and negotiating clinical trial budgets, and managing clinical trial financial accounts.
Reviews draft coverage analysis and serves as liaison between Principal Investigators and coverage analyst to ensure adherence to clinical guidelines and CMS regulations to determine the appropriate payer for each item and service required by a clinical research trial.
Works with clinical study teams to develop clinical trial budgets which capture all costs associated with conducting the study.
Negotiates clinical trial budgets with sponsors to ensure all costs are appropriately covered.
Customizes visit payment trackers to mirror each negotiated budget, in order to assist in tracking all receivables for the life of the clinical trial.
Manages a portfolio of active clinical trial financial accounts by tracking accounts receivable, invoicing sponsors as applicable, processing payments for bills, and reviewing personnel effort.
Reconciles all assigned accounts against the General Ledger on a monthly basis.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
Experience: Previous experience in clinical research administration preferred.
