Compensation :
$68,640 - $80,000 yearly
Responsibilities :
- Aid lawyers in trial preparation by preparing and organizing exhibits, organizing and coordinating witnesses, conducting research on legal articles, and assisting with client meetings and filing motions
- Draft subpoenas and coordinate with process servers
- Conduct interviews with clients to gather information about their legal issues
- Prepare legal documents, correspondence, and pleadings such as complaints, interrogatories, subpoenas, deposition notices, pretrial orders, legal briefs, and affidavits, under the supervision of a lawyer
- Take care of administrative tasks such as answering phones and maintaining an organized filing system for all legal documents
- Conduct thorough legal research to support case preparation and client advocacy.
- Collaborate closely with attorneys to prepare for hearings, contributing to strategic planning.
- Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates and gathering necessary information to support their cases.
- Stay informed about changes in laws and regulations to provide current and relevant legal support.
Qualifications :
At least 3 years of experience in legal services under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm settingABA-approved paralegal certificate program such as an Associate’s degree or proprietary school program in paralegal studies, Bachelor’s degree desiredCandidates who have completed a paralegal professional certification or have advanced paralegal education will receive preferenceExperience in a legal environment, supporting attorneys in trial preparation and client advocacy.Ability to draft and prepare legal documents, including subpoenas, complaints, and briefs, with precision and attention to detail.Proven track record of conducting thorough legal research to support case strategies and client needs.Strong organizational skills to maintain an efficient filing system and manage multiple case files simultaneously.Effective communication skills to liaise with clients, attorneys, and external parties, ensuring clear and timely information exchange.Familiarity with legal procedures and regulations, staying updated on changes to provide relevant support.Proficiency in using legal software and tools to enhance productivity and document management.Proficiency in scheduling and meeting court deadlines.About Company
