Senior Systems Administrator (Linux & Windows)

12+ month contract (W2 ONLY, NO C-C)

Onsite – Downtown Dallas

This position requires a resource with at least 8 years of experience in the given technology areas. The key competencies include subject matter expertise and system administrator experience with Microsoft Windows OS, VMWare, Linux OS and Nutanix Technologies. Knowledge around the support of operations technology or control system environments is preferred. The candidate should also be able to quickly understand and resolve issues, mitigate risks and analyze dependencies.

Essential Skills and Competencies :

• Manage and administer Windows (2008, 2012, 2016, and 2019) and Linux (RHEL 7.X, 8.X and 9.X) servers
• Support and manage server virtualization, server provisioning, physical server maintenance, security compliance and the daily operation of the control system environments
• Maintain the physical server lifecycle including provisioning, maintenance, and decommissioning of the hardware
• Maintain the virtualized server environment via configuration, implementation, management and support activities
• Maintain the VMware VDI environment via configuration, implementation, management and support activities
• Maintain security baseline compliance via configuration, implementation, and remediation activities; report on compliance via routine compliance and audit tasks
• Monitor the server infrastructure environment health status, service performance, and utilization; report on trends and anomalies
• Implement and maintain continuous compliance to information security policies, North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP), and technical standards; report and provide remediation around non-compliances
• Apply regular security patches and software updates
• Provide tier-3 engineering support as well as business continuity support for control system infrastructure
• Collaborates with application, network, security and functional team that support Control System tools and applications
• Participates in on call Control System support rotation cycle
