Summary

Positronic has an exciting opportunity for a student looking to gain hands-on experience in material science and engineering. This project-based internship focuses on improving the consistency of gold plating thickness on aerospace components using Positronic's automated plating process.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct milestone testing and evaluations related to gold plating process performance.
• Collect and analyze data to identify trends and deviations in plating thickness.
• Apply problem-solving and statistical analysis techniques to improve process consistency.
• Document findings and prepare clear, data-driven reports on project milestones and results.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to implement process improvements.
• Uphold Positronic's standards of integrity, quality, and operational excellence.
• Identify hazards in the workplace and report them to management and / or the safety coordinator.
• Collaborate with the EHS department to meet local, state, and federal regulatory requirements, including OSHA, NFPA, DNR, EPA, and Amphenol sustainability practices.
• Work with the Quality department to ensure compliance with AS9100 certification standards.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
