Job Description:
  • We are seeking a highly skilled WebSphere Administrator with deep technical expertise in WebSphere Application Server and Liberty.
  • The ideal candidate will have strong automation and scripting skills, experience with Agile frameworks, and the ability to design and manage secure, scalable middleware environments.
Responsibilities:
  • Install, configure, automate, and administer WebSphere Application Server (ND/Base) with hands-on expertise in high availability configurations and enterprise repository setup.
  • Manage and support WebSphere Liberty, including various deployments in virtual machines and containers (Podman, OCP).
  • Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks for automation; experience with workflow automation is a plus.
  • Write and maintain scripts using Shell, Python, PowerShell, and Java to support automation and operational efficiency.
  • Work within Agile frameworks, contributing to sprint planning and delivery.
  • Design and implement application server architecture and patterns.
  • Manage and maintain security certificates to ensure system integrity and compliance.
  • Collaborate with teams on middleware products such as Apache, Tomcat, JBOSS, and NGINX.
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel (functions, formulas, pivot tables) and PowerPoint for documentation, architectural presentations, and reporting.
Skills:
  • Deep technical knowledge and hands-on experience with WebSphere Application Server (ND/Base).
  • Advanced understanding of WebSphere Liberty environments (virtual and containerized).
  • Strong automation skills using Ansible.
  • Proficiency in Shell scripting, Python, PowerShell, and Java.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of application server architecture, design, and security.
  • Familiarity with other middleware products such as Apache, Tomcat, JBOSS, and NGINX.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint for documentation and reporting.
