We anticipate the need to hire one or more Temporary Unified Gas Helper(s) to be located at the Newport Service Center, White Bear Service Center, Wyoming Service Center and Rice Street Service Center, all located within Minnesota. The starting rate of pay in 2025 for this position is $28.55/hour.

The anticipated start date for this position will be in April and could potentially extend for the remainder of 2025.

Summary

This position can assist in a variety of job functions within Gas Operations. Work ranges from performing leak survey of our gas system to performing maintenance, installation and repair of our gas facilities. These positions work with regulation, metering, odorization, customer piping and below and above ground piping.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED obtained prior to start date.
• Valid driver's license.
• Must be able to lift up to 90 pounds.
• Applicant is required to successfully pass the Xcel Energy screening requirements, which include a drug test and security clearance.

Preferred Requirements:

• Previous construction or mechanical work experience.
• CDL License.

The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $28.55 per hour. This position is eligible for the following benefits: Paid Time Off.
