About the Position :
The Lead Estimator will manage preparation and submission of estimates for heavy civil / highway projects on road interchanges, drainage systems, earthwork, and underground utilities (sewer, water, storm drain). The ideal candidate will oversee and perform professional estimating duties and will have the capacity to manage the bid process for several projects simultaneously. He or she will supervise estimating team members and be responsible for mentoring, training, and quality assurance.
The person in this position will :
- Prepare, review, and solicit estimates for bidding site work.
- Perform quantity takeoff and pricing for bidding purposes.
- Prepare final project costs and construction budgets from cost estimates.
- Review contract documents and understand project parameters.
- Have a thorough understanding of construction means and methods.
- Stay updated on market trends and fluctuations in material prices.

5+ years of project management experience in earthwork, underground utilities, and / or heavy highway constructionA degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a closely related discipline, or commensurate experienceStrong work ethic combined with exemplary leadership and communication skillsIn-depth knowledge of project management softwareBenefits :
