Infrastructure Engineering at Crunchbase

As an infrastructure engineer at Crunchbase you will build tooling to enable feature teams to own their solution from commit through to deployment, providing automation, observability and reliability at each step on the path. You’ll take a direct role in resolving our most critical and time-sensitive challenges, and you’ll apply your creativity to improve the reliability of our platform.

What You’ll Do:

• Architect, automate and support the backbone of Crunchbase on industry standard platforms and tools such AWS, Kubernetes and Terraform
• Build and maintain our custom gateway and network routing infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and security.
• Enhance our build, test, and deployment pipelines to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
• Develop tools to boost developer experience and productivity, enabling our teams to deliver high-quality features faster.
• Serve as a central point for communication, triaging, and resolving site issues, including participation in an on-call rotation.
• Apply industry-standard methodologies and your expertise to bolster our cloud, system, application security, and observability practices.
• Support, optimize, and help design our data infrastructure, including storage systems, data pipelines, and machine learning architecture

What We’re Looking For:

• 3+ years in cloud engineering, with a strong focus on operations and coding.
• Practical understanding of computer science and software engineering fundamentals.
• Proven track record in the practical application of containers in both development and production environments.
• Deep experience with command line interfaces and Linux, including scripting capabilities.
• A strong desire to stay up to date with industry tools and best practices.
• Familiarity with our core tools, including AWS, Kubernetes, Jenkins, OpenResty, Terraform, Python, ElasticSearch, Postgres, and Kafka.
