A Lead Associate GM / HBC job at Giant involves managing the General Merchandise and Health & Beauty Care departments, including leading the team, driving sales, ensuring operational efficiency, and providing excellent customer service. Key responsibilities include supervising staff, managing inventory and displays, setting and implementing department goals, and handling labor costs while creating a positive work environment.

Key responsibilities

Team Leadership : Supervise, train, and schedule staff for the GM / HBC department. Foster a positive and cooperative team atmosphere.

Operational Management : Ensure the department runs efficiently by managing stock, creating appealing displays, and handling product rotation.

Sales and Financials : Achieve department goals for sales and profitability by managing labor costs and improving gain.

Customer Service : Help customers with their shopping needs, answer questions, and provide a positive experience within the department.

Strategic Implementation : Communicate and implement goals for the department to drive results and operational excellence.

Qualifications and skills

Leadership experience.

Strong customer service skills.

Ability to work with inventory, merchandising, and sales targets.

Basic math abilities.

Often a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
