Event Coordinator

Dream up events and activities, fundraisers, parties, social events, etc.

As an events coordinator, it would be your task to think of (you can ask for community input) events that would be of interest to the LGBT community. For example, game nights, friends meet ups, book club, etc. One time and / or ongoing events.

Then, once an idea was settled on, coordinating with venues we already use or finding a new venue. You may choose to take on the responsibilities of the event, from start to finish. Or, you may work with us to locate someone to lead it.

We are seeking dynamic and motivated event planners and organizers to join our growing event committee! We need creative, detail-oriented and passionate people who are not afraid to connect, build relationships, and make the ask.

Purpose of the role :

To help envision, structure, plan, and execute community events, with 1 being a very large expo / convention.

Have you got the following skills & experience?

• A professional and friendly telephone manner;
• Ability to work with a team and independently;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Previous event planning / coordination experience;
• Experience creating, maintaining, and adhering to strict budgets;
