Summary

GENERAL SUMMARY

The Lead Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is key to coordinating and overseeing the workflow and activities of service personnel to ensure safe and efficient practices in patient care. This role reports directly to the designated manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Plan, develop, and organize services and activities to effectively support medical practices.

Collaborate closely with the practice physician(s) under their clinical guidance.

Deliver a diverse range of patient care activities and supportive services that enhance the medical practice.

Exhibit excellence in nursing practice by ensuring quality patient care and contributing to both formal and informal patient and staff education.

Perform other assigned duties and responsibilities as necessary.

LICENSES AND / OR CERTIFICATIONS

Possess a current State license as a Licensed Practical Nurse.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Comprehensive understanding of nursing theory and practice.

Technical expertise and professional skills in clinical operations typically gained through 3-5 years of progressive experience in a medical practice setting.

CPR Training is required and must be completed within 45 days of hire.

Must provide documentation of a completed diploma (or equivalent) or academic transcript for roles involving complexity testing.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Work will be performed in a patient care environment with minimal exposure to environmental hazards such as excessive noise, dust, or temperature extremes. There will be exposure to communicable diseases and some moderately adverse working conditions due to required patient care activities.
