Are you passionate about design and creating unforgettable in-store experiences? As a Show Floor Visual Designer, you'll transform our showroom into an inspiring, visually dynamic space that captivates customers and drives sales.

In this role, you will make eye-catching displays that showcase your creativity and attention to detail. By skillfully blending design principles, color palettes, lighting, and display elements. You'll collaborate closely with AFW Management and the Staging Team to craft an inviting, trend-forward show floor that reflects our brand and inspires our customers. Compensation:

• Pay: Starting at $21 and up - Dependent on experience and education
  • Pay Grade: $17.71-32.89

Job Requirements

• Interior design or related field of education OR at least 1 year of visual merchandising or related experience is preferred.
• Ability to coordinate and work effectively with multiple departments to continuously improve processes, maximize efficiency, and exceed customer service expectations.
• Ability to efficiently work independently.
• Ability to interact and communicate with fellow associates in a cooperative and constructive matter.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule that meets business needs, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies. This includes- but not limited to Storis, iPads, Excel, Word, etc.

Job Expectations & Duties (included, but not limited to)

• Commitment to AFW's safety policies and procedures and ability to promote safety awareness.
• Partners with the Staging Manager to prepare for and implement seasonal merchandising presentations and new visual merchandising initiatives.
• Partners with store management on key visual merchandising decisions that impact workload and sales.
• Research up-and-coming design ideas.
• Tasked with visual design and staging. Will partner with buying teams to develop effective display themes and color schemes.
• Maintains brand standards for visual presentation throughout the store.
• Utilize basic design concepts to enhance showroom presentation.
• Understand and interpret AFW visual merchandising tools and direction.
• Offer solutions to store-specific visual and merchandising challenges using brand standards.
• Actively participate in annual show floor inventory scans.
• Display new merchandise when received.
• Identifying and reading reports, tickets, and UPC labels.
• Will maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• All training provided by AFW!

Physical Requirements:

• The Show Floor Visual Designer position requires lifting, bending, kneeling, stooping, and moving display props and accessories.
• Requires the ability to maneuver in confined and, at times, congested areas.
• Requires the ability to stand, walk, stoop, & bend for 8 hours daily.
• Requires constant use of arms, hands, fingers, eyes, legs, and back.
• Requires lift, lower, push and pull merchandise and display props of 50 lbs.

Physical Work Environment:

• Fluorescent Lighting
• Concrete Flooring
• Considerable exterior noise at times
• Extreme temperature fluctuations in the warehouse
