(Serving Midland & Odessa, TX)

As a substitute teacher, you’ll play a key role in keeping classrooms running smoothly and supporting student learning. You will :

Work flexible days Monday–Friday with availability from 7 : 30 AM–4 : 30 PM

Half-day options available : 7 : 30 AM–12 PM or 12 PM–4 : 30 PM

Follow and implement teacher-provided lesson plans for a cohesive learning experience

Create a positive, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment

Adapt instruction based on the needs of diverse learners

Supervise students throughout the day—in classrooms, hallways, playgrounds, and cafeterias

Provide class assignments aligned with the lesson plan

For long-term roles : collaborate with administrators and teachers to prepare and deliver instruction aligned to curriculum goals

(Odessa & Midland, TX)

Preferred but not required :

Associate degree or 60+ college hours

Bachelor’s degree or Texas teaching certification

Previous substitute teaching experience

Required skills :

Strong verbal and written communication

Positive and professional interactions with students, parents, and staff

Ability to lead, manage, and instruct students across all grade levels

General knowledge of core subjects

Ability to follow lesson plans and coordinate with admin when needed

Flexibility, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills

Dedication to maintaining a safe, respectful, and engaging learning environment

$90–$120 per day (based on education & certification)
