Job Summary
We are looking for employees who enjoy exploring the community! Do you have experience in providing behavioral supports and implementing behavior plans? A 24-year-old Autistic, man who lives in his own home, specifically designed to meet his individual needs wants to meet you. He is supported by Terrapin House in a fully licensed community home located in Allentown. Given the right supports, he enjoys going on walks exploring local parks, amusement rides, trampoline parks, his favorite local eateries and so much more. Our focus in on providing person-centered services and supports that enable him to experience a meaningful Everyday Life with dignity and respect. He is adept at using his computer and other electronic devices. While the job can be challenging, Terrapin House is focused on supporting and educating staff to meet this individual's medical and behavioral needs. Terrapin House may be small, but our vision of what is possible is not.

Staff will learn how to best serve this individual through paid training on all aspects of his specific needs as well as state regulations. Staff will be paid to complete training on the Individual Support Plan, Behavioral Intervention Plan (BIP), Professional Crisis Management (PCM), 6400/6100 Regulations, Medication Administration, information specific to his diagnoses, and more. All mandatory trainings must be completed prior to working in ratio with the individual, and employees are expected to participate in supplemental paid trainings year-round. We have availability Part-time overnight and weekend hour availability; alternating weekends an option; 12 hour shift also an option.. A shift differential is offered to those working Friday evening through Monday ending at 7am.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree and/or Registered Behavior Technician certification preferred but will train.
• Must possess OR be capable of obtaining FBI, and PA Criminal background
• Must be able to obtain a completed Physical Examination and TB test.
• Valid driver's license
