Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Location : Oswego, IL area

Position Type : Full-Time (35hrs)

End Date : End of School Year

About the Role

Sunbelt Staffing ishiring a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacherto join our team. These roles focus on supporting students with diverse learning needs through individualized instruction, collaboration with general education teachers, and development of IEPs that promote academic and personal growth.

Responsibilities

  • K-6Grades, Behavioral support classroom
  • Lead classroom activities based on individual student needs
  • Deliver direct instruction curriculum in individualized and small group settings
  • Implement behavior intervention plans and manage classroom behaviors for effective classroom organization and participation
  • Collaborate with related service providers to implement accommodations, modifications, and goal work throughout the week
  • Manage classroom Educational Support Professional schedules and direct them in their work with the students

Qualifications

  • Must hold an active Illinois PEL with LBS1 Certification
  • Experience working with school-aged students preferred.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Commitment to inclusive education and student success.
